SO MANY UNKNOWNS BUT – –
I’ve never KNOWN a time when there were so many UNKNOWNS. Wow – – so little known about Covid-19, the political scene, specifics of End Time events and more!
And yet, so many opinions. Supposed experts contradicting each other, and even themselves soon after making authoritative-sounding declarations.
While explaining something to me one day, a friend whom I considered to be a genuine authority on the matter, stopped and said, “Actually, I think I’ve already told you more than I KNOW about that.” It’s a line I’ve used a few times.
God’s people often boast of our opinions, creating separation between us. We do that when we diminish another for their opinion. One of my opinions is that many opinions will soon be proven to be either true or false. SOON. That’s only an opinion and you’re free to disagree, but here’s something I KNOW. As Jeremiah wrote:
“This is what the Lord says: “Let no wise man boast of his wisdom, nor let the mighty man boast of his might, nor a rich man boast of his riches; 24 but let the one who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises mercy, justice, and righteousness on the earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord.” Jer. 9:23-24 nasb
I KNOW Him, and I KNOW that He is doing exactly what Jeremiah wrote. Today. I don’t KNOW exactly what that will look like on Jan. 20, or in a few months, or on Dec. 31, but it does give me a basis for peace as I watch, listen, pray and wait.

Amen. “The Lord who exercises mercy, justice and righteousness;” This where we need to land. It is difficult not to have our own opinion. To be quiet and not chime in when you think you know something of this world and what is going on.
To boast that one knows the Lord isn’t heard to often from very many…but then maybe I’m not listening close enough. Also, I know I’m not using a megaphone very often for that purpose myself.
“he understands and knows Me”, knowing is one thing, which His holy word allows and from Jesus’ short time He lived personally here on earth and more…much more, but understanding, now that is tough one for me.
