AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH
Truth is prophetic, and one can be offensively prophetic by simply speaking truth.
Am I prophetic if I tell you that you’ll get hurt if you jump off that roof? Or if I repeat to worldly Christians what Jesus said about the Last Days, like, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be – -”? * https://biblia.com/bible/esv/matthew/24/37-39 Does today’s church welcome that?
LIGHT AND DARKNESS
We have unprecedented opportunity to fulfill the Great Commission. God is turning His Light up as He allows Satan to deepen the darkness and He invites us to partner with him, but do your church budget, and your personal priorities and schedule reflect that?
God is moving at warp speed toward Rev. 7:9, imparting strategies and intellectual resources to His trusted servants and calling the Church in America to equip the Church abroad to equip those of “every nation, tribe, people and language” in their region, to translate the scriptures for their own people. See www.unfoldingword.org/. Do we care?
We see America’s dramatic moral decline and how Satan’s darkness is portrayed in the global curse of Covid-19. But unknown to many is the truth that a great harvest is taking place as the Gospel is going forth through the hands of Spirit-empowered, humble, courageous, passionate, faithful, fruitful, and often poor, servants of God. Are we most captivated by the events of darkness or of Light? See: https://everyhome.org/who-we-are/
Finally, God’s Word is reaching millions, and winning and discipling many, in “closed” Muslim countries www.sat7usa.org/, but does that matter to us? Aren’t we oblivious to those realities as we flit from comfort to comfort and pleasure to pleasure and seek “one more” CD in a futile effort to satisfy our soul hunger in the world? Aren’t we, as saints and as churches, more connected to the world and our personal agendas, than to God and His?
REPENTANCE OR REMORSE
Repentance is our only good option, but neither the pulpit nor the pew indicate much interest in that and we dismiss the braying of the donkeys. Unless we repent, we’re predestined to repeat the too-late remorse of those banging on the ark after God closed the door and it started to pour rain.
So, YOU be the judge. Does today’s church need the prophetic word to call us back to God, and “for edification, exhortation or consolation,” or should we let the “Do Not Disturb” signs hang on our church doors? Does it matter that Jesus gave this office for the building up of His Body, the Church? Eph. 4:11
