Elaine slept well last night which is such a blessing. Her blood count is up to 9.1, which is wonderful. They are now saying that she can probably go home tomorrow and we’re excited about that.
The present challenge is her continued extreme weakness. She can’t stand up without major assistance and we’re not sure what that means for going home. We had hoped for a marked boost from the transfusions, but it hasn’t happened yet. She will be on a liquid diet for a while as the ulcer heals.
We are so aware of how much these last few days are “of God.” He intervened and orchestrated things in a way that we could get the care that she needed before this became something even more serious.
Your prayers were a factor in getting us to this point and will be in the path ahead. Thank you. Thank you. THANK you!
There’s a lot in this that God is using to define “Church” for me and you’ll be hearing about that when I get back on track. It’s exciting and instructive to me, and relates to God’s people around the world for the days ahead.
God is with us. Always!
