Jesus said, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”*
Could this be as serious as it sounds? Is Jesus really that exclusive?
What is the key difference between the wide gate and its broad road, and the small gate and its narrow road? (Did Paul talk about such things, maybe in I Cor 1:17 – 2:16? https://biblia.com/bible/esv/1-corinthians-1-17–2-16)
How can we tell which road we’re on?
Is it possible to preach powerfully against sin, and miss what Jesus means by the small gate and narrow road? If so, how?
Is it possible to be an upstanding church member, and believe the “correct doctrine,” and tithe, and still be on the wide road?
What does Jesus mean by “life?” Is he speaking mostly of living in heaven after we die, or is it possibly the John 10:10 Abundant Life, the “Zoe Life” that we considered on July 22? https://www.10minas.net/112-life-in-the-kingdom-of-god-2/
Is it really true that any gate but the narrow gate leads to destruction?
