CLAC #1 – A series on Christians Living Amidst Chaos
Has this been a time of rethinking some things for you too? Thinking about what really matters and maybe finding a greater measure of identity and inner security in Christ?
In our last Sunday School class before Covid-19 hit us, I said something like, “I think that before long we’ll need to figure out how to be the Church, without the church.” By that I meant we’ll need to learn how to function as the Body of Christ without the building that we think of as “the church.”
Frankly, my sense is that what we see today is only a precursor of things to come. God is moving toward the fulfillment of Rev. 7:9-10, and that requires a significant renovation of the Church. He is already preparing the hearts of countless numbers, Muslims and others, to receive Eternal Life. Hold on to your hat!
IF we have a change of parties on Nov. 3 it will initiate the remaking of America. And of the Church in America. God knows, and He will only allow what is best for His purposes and for us, but button up your coat.
A line that came to me recently is, “Nothing matters except knowing and serving God, because if we get that right everything else will be okay.” Would that fit under the category of “perspective?”
It is times like these that help define whether we function as the Church, or merely the church as an institution. The Church is spirit in nature, Kingdom focused, and relational, and we can tell a lot about ourselves now.
So – – what new and creative ways are you finding to help extend the Kingdom of God? To stay in touch with others? To dig deeper for nutrition for your own soul?
Many around you are overcome by anxiety. If you have peace because of Jesus, there will be a light inside of you that is attractive to them. It’s the Isaiah 60:1-3 thing, and note that they are drawn to the Light, not to you!
For your sake and theirs, see that Isaiah 41:10 is securely attached in your soul and your spirit.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
So, what is God saying to you in these Days? Hebrews 10:24-25 is more applicable than ever and your voice is important.
