I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.*
God has been with us marvelously and we thank Him.
We thank Him for His Presence with us in this valley. Elaine’s bleeding ulcer just below her stomach explains the low hemoglobin and energy levels and it could have developed into something much worse. We’re also responding to probable adrenal insufficiency.
God has quieted our hearts amidst the uncertainties and fears. He aligned us with a fantastic medical team to minister to Elaine’s need and connected us with others whose knowledge and wisdom were helpful in decision-making.
And He brought together a faithful prayer team from all over the world. You have stood with us and interceded beyond any expectation. May God reward you abundantly!
This all motivates us to serve Him with greater passion and focus than ever before.
Elaine is recovering slowly. She was so far down, having about half the normal blood supply, and it’s exciting to see progress day by day as she gains strength and can do more and more herself.
My needing to humble myself and do some of the things that need to be done has been good for me – – and for “us.”
We had a little bump in the road yesterday, with the lump on her arm where an IV had been. An ultrasound showed a blood clot near the surface, but not one that could send clots on to places where they would be bad.
She is well enough now to enjoy 30-45-minute “sister visits,” but please text before coming.
May God be with you richly as you continue to serve Him and make Him known to others.
