Many professing Christ-followers are so fixated on American politics, and national and world events, and so vested in building their personal and religious kingdoms, that they can’t see God at work in our world.
In spite of her abandonment of God and His ways, “America” isn’t the most pressing issue for her Christians. Rather, it is God’s call to love, obey and serve Him as citizens of His Kingdom in this very special time in history. It’s not about “them,” it’s about “us,” and it transforms every aspect of life as we have known it.
WE WILL . . .
We will be loyal citizens and will pray for our nation and our church more than ever as we elevate our focus to seek the truth and righteousness of the Kingdom of God and find our part in what He is doing Today.
The distracting national and international events around us are pieces in the puzzle of God’s long-range plan and each one will ultimately serve His purpose.
Remember how He shaped world events for the coming of the Messiah? Nations and their Kings; Israel’s subservience to Rome, and her priests and their laws; Rome’s census plan; and wise men and lowly shepherds were all in place as orchestrated by the Father for that monumental moment.
And look at how He arranged for Jesus to be born in Bethlehem, as prophesied. And to be “called out of Egypt,” as prophesied. And to be “of” Nazareth, as prophesied.
Many naïve Christians think that America’s devastating internal issues, and the dynamics between Russia, China, the USA and the Middle East, are only earthly. Those who have eyes to see will view them as part of something BIG, and those who are wise will reshape their lives to be part of it.
