The tricky thing about deception is that you don’t know when it’s happening.
Deception is to Satan what love is to God. Satan IS deception as God IS love. Each is inseparable from their defining trait which directs everything they do and their reasons for doing it.
The controversy, intimidation, manipulation, division, and death that surround us could only have such impact if they are spirit in nature. Satan is the ruler of this world, and it is as Jesus said in John 8:44. https://biblehub.com/john/8-44.htm
If we have even a trace of discernment as we contemplate ongoing world events, we must conclude that things are not what they are said to be. We are being lied to – – but we are only deceived if we believe the lies.
Much of what is happening is behind the scenes and hidden to most, including me, but upcoming events will bring it into view for those who have eyes to see. Even then however, the spirit-driven deception is deep enough that those who embrace it will spin it to their advantage.
HELP NEEDED
We must each seek the mind of God in this Day and hear from Him about what is taking place and how to respond. We cannot fully trust our own sense of things because there’s too much that we don’t know, plus we have biases that obscure truth and/or make it hard for us to act upon it even when we do see it.
We desperately need the knowledge, wisdom and discernment of the spiritual gifts of I Cor. 12:7-11. And the gift of healing, too! https://www.bible.com/bible/111/1CO.12.7-11.NIV
The Church is comprised of many gifts and “voices.” Hopefully we are in relationship with those of discernment, wisdom, and courage with whom we can find a good path forward. God has placed the needed resources among His people and positional church leadership has little to do with it.

We are at war. Lies are coming at us from both ends of the spectrum but there IS truth and there IS wisdom, and together we can know them.
